What is Choresy?

How do I register?

Registration is super simple. Just download the app on your preferred device, click on register, give us an email and password and you're done. Log in and start using Choresy immediately.

How do I add my child / children?

Once you log in to the Choresy app simply click on the pencil icon at the bottom of the app.  Click on  "Add Child",  tell us your child's first name, and give them a simple password . That's it. Now open the Choresy app on their device, log in with your Choresy redentials, choose "Use as Child" and log  in with your child's first name and the password you created for them.

What do you do with my child's information?

Privacy is important to us. This is why we ask only for a first name for your child's account and a password you create for them. We don't use full names or photo's of your children at all. What we do use is a unique ID we generate for your child that is used to send various notifications to their device for example, letting them know when you've created a new chore.

Can I create more than one Choresy at a time?

No. Statistics show that when people create to-do lists they tend to have trouble with prioritizing and it's very difficult to complete the list. We don't want to create an endless list of chores that never get completed. Choresy is all about getting chores done. Our tests show that when a child is engaged and wants to be rewarded they will complete the single outstanding chore in order to move on to the next one.

Do I have to accept notifications?

You don't have to. However they make the app soooo much better. We have included beautifully crafted notification sounds for each status of a choresy. Your child will soon be running to their device to claim a chore when they hear our distinct new choresy sound.

I already give my child an allowance, why do I need Choresy?

Let me ask you this. If you give your child $10 per week for allowance are you confident that they earned that $10 or do you reward them regardless? When you are out and your child wants a treat to you have them spend their allowance? Are they really learning the value of a dollar? With Choresy you are setting a value to each chore and rewarding them for the completion of the chore. This ensures that each dollar rewarded was actually earned. By spending money from your childs Choresy balance your child learns the value of their money.

Why are chores claimed and not available for all kids to do?

The idea behind claiming the chore creates excitement when your kids hear our distinct new chore sound. The healthy competition to see who can claim the chore first is exciting and fun. Our latest update now allows kids to team up to do chores as well and split the reward. What a great way to teach your kids teamwork huh?

I stopped receiving notifications

This can happen if you sign in to more than 2 devices with your account. Choresy is designed to work with 1 device for mom and one device for dad. It's an easy fix though. Open the Choresy app, click on settings and re-assign the device you are using as parent 1 or parent 2. Notifications will begin working on that device immediately.

I have an Android device but my kids have iPhones and iPads. Will Choresy work?

Absolutely. Choresy works across both iOS and Android. Everything will work seamlessly regardless of which device preference you and / or kids have.
